Kids Rap Radio, the brainchild of Beyoncé’s dad, may sound like a concept tailor-made to drive the big folks mad, but it has as much in common with the sometimes-criticized Kidz Bop series as Bow Wow does with Barry Manilow. Boy oh boy, I always dreaded this would happen but I never actually thought that record companies would sink this low. Hip hop has already gone through hell lately. From K-Fed to Lil Romeo to D4L, I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Well I was wrong and what’s worse is that I actually like some of the songs that they butchered on here. My advice to parents is buy your kid an edited CD and when they get a little older buy them the raw explicit version and talk to them about it. Please for the sake of hip hop, don’t support this trash. Kidz Bop has been doing this for 5 years but this is much worse because hip hop already has enough bad acts and we don’t need things like this taking the good songs we have and butchering them and taking bad songs and making them even worse.

It is so nice to find hip hop and rap music as performed by kids. Just perfect for our Kids Hip Hop class. I love this!

I think hip hop for kids is a great idea! Rap is mostly viewed in a negative light these days and Music World is changing things for the better by cleaning up the songs and making them kid friendly. My kids love it.
